The food, sourced from the owner's own smallholding, was delicious, and we learned so much about Catalan life from the English-speaking owner. We had the entire garden house to ourselves in the middle of a vegetable plantation, perfect for walking the dogs. the evening meal exceeded our expectations and the stopover on our way south was excellent.

I got great value for my money at Mas Masdeu, with a comfortable and charming room that had its own little balcony. The location was perfect, easily accessible by car or bike, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

The room was spacious, with a high ceiling and a large bed. We loved the side annexe and the private garden view. the bathroom was like a ballroom, complete with a walk-in shower. We also appreciated the two sofas in the room. the dinner, which included 5 courses, coffee, and a bottle of wine each, was incredible value for money at only 18 euros per head. the breakfast was equally impressive, especially the delicious sausages. our stay cost us around 105 euros and was definitely worth it. Plus, it's conveniently located just a short detour off the N340. Cons: None 🙌.

We were especially impressed by the excellent facilities for wheelchair users. This hidden gem, a former olive mill on a working smallholding, offered a truly unique and homely experience. It was the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Ebro Delta area. We also loved that they not only allowed pets but welcomed them with open arms. Our excitable puppy was able to join us for dinner and breakfast without any hassle, thanks to the easily washable floors. The chef even catered to our dietary requirements without any fuss. our stay was absolutely superb and we cannot recommend this place highly enough!

And even though it was in the countryside, the natural sounds of birds, ducks, and wild dogs added to its undeniable charm. The room for disabled guests was spacious and functional, with a fantastic bathroom and a private veranda. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it all. The staff was incredibly friendly, going out of their way to make our dogs feel welcome, even allowing them in the dining room, which can often be a challenge. The bedroom was large and had great air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable stay. The food was delicious, albeit with a limited menu. This rustic farmhouse was simply beautiful in its simplicity, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere just a short distance from town. And let's not forget the free Wi-Fi in rooms, free parking, and various recreational activities available like cycling, canoeing, and fishing. They also had a lovely bar/lounge area, a restaurant, a children's play area, cots for families, wheelchair access for all capabilities. Oh, and did I mention there was no smoking on site? our stay was absolutely incredible and we can't wait to return.
